Access to the World through Books and So Much More
Sarah Sentilles of Hailey will be our featured writer at the Library’s Author’s Luncheon, scheduled for Saturday, September 11 at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. The menu features a delicious selection of salads, wood-fired pizza, sandwiches and cookies. Tickets are $35 and are available for purchase at the library now.
Book Club will discuss Sarah’s most recent book, Stranger Care: A Memoir of Loving What Isn’t Ours, on September 7. Copies will be available for purchase at the library soon. It’s a moving story of what Sarah learned from fostering a newborn—about injustice, about making mistakes, about how to better love and protect people beyond our immediate kin. At the luncheon, Iconoclast will sell Stranger Care and Sarah’s other books: Taught by America: A Story of Struggle and Hope in Compton, A Church of Her Own: What Happens When a Woman Takes the Pulpit, Breaking Up with God, and Draw Your Weapons.
