Next month’s book is Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague by Geraldine Brooks. Books are available at the library now.
Story Time
Tuesday, October 31, 10:30 am
Community Room
Story Time kicks off next week with a not-so-spooky Halloween story and activities. All children ages 0-5 and their grownups are invited to join us for Story Time every Tuesday at 10:30 am.
New Books
Here at the Stanley Community Library, we try to keep up with the latest hot books. Two new non-fiction books getting a ton of press right now are Heather Cox Richardson’s Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America and Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the Grand Canyon by Melissa L. Sevigny. Navied Mahdavian’s graphic novel for adults, This Country: Searching for Home in (Very) Rural America, is based on a true story in Custer County. New fiction includes books by bestselling authors such as Emma Donoghue, Nelson DeMIlle, Ken Follet, Kate Morton, Richard Russo, and Paulette Giles. There is something for everyone!
