Library Closed Saturday
The library will be closed Saturday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. We honor and are grateful for all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
My Library Matters
In this time of thanksgiving and gratitude, we invite you to share why your library matters. The Idaho Library Association is collecting testimonials about the importance of libraries to Idahoans across our state. These will be compiled into a booklet to be shared with Idaho legislators at the beginning of next year’s session. We will also display testimonials in the library.
Stop by to fill out a card or email us your thoughts. Testimonials can be simple and short. Here are some guidelines:
Length: Up to 200 words (even a single sentence is great!)
Content: This is wide open. Some questions to consider might be:
- Why does your library matter to you?
- How do you use your library?
- How does your library matter to your community?
- How does it matter that you get to choose from a wide range of books?
Specific details are wonderful! A person could describe where they like to sit to read, what it looks like when children meet for Story Time, how it feels to get a help using a digital app from a librarian…
Identify:
- Your name and phone number and/or email address (just so the ILA can confirm that you approve what they print)
- The name and location of the library you use
