Citizen Science: Wildlife Crossings
Monday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m.
Learn how to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions, which cause 200 human deaths, 26,000 human injuries, and more than $8 billion dollars each year. Blakeley Adkins, wildlife technician, bear-viewing guide and community outreach specialist, helps locals live on the landscape with wildlife and works to reconnect habitat fragmented by roads by implementing wildlife crossings.
If you missed Heather Hayes’ fantastic Citizen Science presentation on Long-billed Curlews earlier this month, you can access the recording here. It will be available through May 31.
