Reading Challenge Discussion
Wednesday, April 3, 5:00 pm
Community Room and Zoom
Read any good books lately? Our Reading Challenge group gets together 3 times a year to discuss what we’ve read for the various categories in our annual Challenge. This year’s list includes “A book you own but have never read,” “A book that scares you,” “A book about pirates,” “A non-fiction book and a fiction book on the same topic,” and many others. Click here to see the full list. Even if you’re not participating in the challenge, come to the discussion — it’s a great way to add to your TBR (“to be read”) list.
BINGO Night!

Preserving Our History: The Braun Family
Wednesday, April 17, 5:00 pm
Community Room and Zoom
The final oral history in this winter’s series with the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association features beloved local musicians. Muzzie and JoAnn Braun raised their four sons at the base of the White Cloud Mountains in a home without running water or electricity. All four of the boys became professional musicians, like their father. Join us for a glimpse into the lives of the Braun family, recorded in 1988.
Book Club: This Book is Gay
Tuesday, April 23, 5:30 pm dinner, 6:00 pm discussion
Community Room and Zoom
Our last selection in this winter’s Book Club series of banned books is This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson and David Levithan. This young adult non-fiction book on sexuality and gender is one of the most challenged books in school libraries. A candid, funny, and uncensored exploration of sexuality and what it’s like to grow up LGBTQ, the book also includes real stories from people across the gender and sexual spectrums, not to mention hilarious illustrations. This book is for everyone, regardless of gender or sexual preference. Copies are available now at the library.
IMPORTANT: New Library Email
The library is transitioning to a different email: [email protected]. Please start using it now if you need to get in touch, and add it to your Contacts to ensure library emails don’t get stuck in your Spam folder. We will begin sending emails from the new address soon.
