Access to the World through Books and So Much More
We are very sorry to announce that Saturday’s Author Luncheon with Judith Freeman has been cancelled due to the wildfire raging near Smiley Creek and potential road closures. We don’t want anybody to be injured or trapped here in these quickly-changing circumstances.
Judith has graciously agreed to do a Zoom presentation at a later date. Stay tuned for details!
Cancelled: Tickets: $35, must be purchased in advance
Judith Freeman of Fairfield and Los Angeles will be our featured writer at the Library’s Twelfth Annual Author’s Luncheon, scheduled for Saturday, September 10 at the Stanley Supper Club. The menu features a delicious selection of Mediterranean-style kabobs, flatbread, salads, and dessert. Tickets are $35 and are available for purchase at the library now. Stop in or call 208-774-2470.
Book Club will discuss Judith’s books on September 1, including novels MacArthur Park, Red Water, A Desert of Pure Feeling, Set for Life, and The Chinchilla Farm. She has also written a memoir, The Latter Days, and a nonfiction book about Raymond Chandler, The Long Embrace. Copies are available to check out at the library. At the luncheon, Iconoclast will have Judith’s books available for sale.
