Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese art of fish printing … and the foundation for making art with fish! Come to the library to learn about fish, have some fun, and find out more about using fish to make art! For All Ages!
Sylvia Hamilton and Daniela Ruiz from the Sawtooth Fish Hatchery* will lead the program. All supplies provided, including instruction for making art prints using real fish, but you may want to wear clothes that can get dirty!
*The Sawtooth Fish Hatchery is an anadromous fish hatchery located 5 miles south of Stanley. The hatchery welcomes visitors to learn about salmon and the hatchery’s incubation and early rearing facility, outside raceways, and kid’s fishing pond.
