Waiting for Ice: lessons from the polar bear capital of the world

March 7 @ 5:00 pm

Located on the southwest corner of Hudson Bay is a small town known for their polar bears. These special creatures are what brought Lara Antonello to Churchill last fall. During her time on Hudson Bay, Lara learned that the challenges and successes of communities in the North were more familiar than she had thought. Join us for a conversation on polar bears, tourism in the subarctic, Lara’s first Canadian Thanksgiving, and more.
