Preserving Our History
Hats off to Susan Kim, Lin Gray, and the whole Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association team for a fabulous winter series of SIHA oral histories! We loved seeing so many people enjoy and learn from the interviews recorded over the years by SIHA, and we look forward to more oral histories next winter. In the meantime, anyone can view them on SIHA’s YouTube Channel (where you can also find unedited versions of each recording):

We Need Your Help!
The library’s next display will be about democracy and elections. We’re looking for items to include, such as historical campaign buttons and posters. If you have anything to contribute, please bring it to the library — we promise we’ll take good care of your treasures. No contemporary partisan campaign materials, please.
We’re also starting to plan programs and events for summer. Please let us know if you’d like to present an armchair traveler slide show, a lecture, or a hands-on class for kids and/or adults (jewelry, art, cooking, nature…?). Contact us at 208-774-2470, at [email protected], or stop in.

Thank a Public Servant!
Public Service Recognition Week is celebrated the first full week of May — May 5-11 this year — to honor the people who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local and tribal government employees. Take a moment to tell our friends and neighbors who keep our institutions running how much we appreciate them.
