Winter Read: Tortilla Making Class

Saturday, February 25, 1:00 p.m.
Community Room

The Winter Read book Sabrina & Corina: Stories by Kali Fajardo-Anstine included many scenes of families cooking together, which inspired us to offer a tortilla-making class led by Peggy Clay. We have room for 8 participants — sign up by calling or emailing us (208-774-2470 or [email protected]). Others can come watch but won’t be able to make their own tortillas. Ingredients will be supplied. Each participant should bring:

  • A mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Kitchen scale if you prefer to measure by weight
  • Wooden spoon or spatula for mixing
  • 2 dish towels
  • Lidded container to keep the finished tortillas warm

Cookies & Cocoa

We appreciate everyone who donated cookies for Cookies & Cocoa at the Library Saturday! Hundreds of happy Winterfest visitors enjoyed a sweet treat and a place to warm up. A special thanks to Board Member Celina Moreno, who helped field phone calls, hot-water requests, and more when we were crazy-busy!
